Watercolours are a wonderful way to portray the beauty that nature and its Creator so graciously offer us. You can create the transparent colours in the sunlit petal of a rose, the brilliant colours found in so many flowers, the rich colours of the undergrowth and the leaves emerging from it, as well as the soft fuzzy wings of a butterfly. I find the medium unpredictable and yet able to be controlled under the guidance of the painter.
